Fine porcelain, the high-fire pottery that originated in Imperial China, is celebrated for its translucence, hand painted decoration and silky finish. You’ll treasure our porcelain Foo Dog for its unique place in Asian history—and its sheer beauty. With the appearance of a lion, the Foo dog is the traditional guardian of Buddhist temples. This pure white conversation piece is handmade in China using traditional techniques, from clay sourced in the Jiangxi province. Available left- and right-facing, the Foo dogs can be used as bookends, but they’re compelling enough to stand alone.
